Here is a prime example of a product that you can ‘flip’ (as per the lessons in our free course ).
Take a look at the Multi purpose compost for sale on amazon Prime:
You can but it on there at £8.50 including delivery (if you are a Prime member of course).
Now take a look at how much they sell for on eBay:
There are a couple of points to note here.
First of all, it is selling for DOUBLE the price on eBay
Secondly, look at how many have been sold to date.
Why don’t they buy it from Amazon at half the price?
Quite simply, people don’t bother to look around. They head on over to eBay and search for what they want, then buy it.
Here’s another point that you may have overlooked.
The bag on eBay is 40 litres. The bag on Amazon is 60L – 50% more compost! So you are going to give your customer even more of a bargain. Remember to put that in your listing – 50% more compost (then explain that others are selling 40 litre bags for the price you sell your 60 litre bag, in the description. You really have to point this stuff out, to increase your sales).
So all you have to do is ‘flip’ the product, i.e., advertise it on eBay, then when you get an order, simply buy it from Amazon, and get it delivered direct to your customer.
One point to bear in mind is to regularly check the Amazon listing to make sure that the listing is still available.
There are so many ways to make money that it is ridiculous. You just have to open your eyes to the possibilities all around you!
